An Enhanced Exhibition for Changing Times

In 1992 the U.S.-based American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) and California-based International Trade Information, Inc. (ITI) organized the first Mexican feed-oriented trade show in Guadalajara, Jalisco. It brought a higher level of technology and information to an industry crucial to Mexico’s economic growth and well being.

The rest is history - AFIA*AGRO de las Americas reflected the growth as well as the consolidation of the industry it served. Throughout the nine previous exhibitions, visitors from throughout Latin America purchased the latest in technology, equipment, supplies and services for the livestock and balanced feed industries. Both international and Mexican exhibitors have sold millions of dollars worth of products throughout the years.

Why a different city and venue? Located in the beautiful del Bajio region in the center of Mexico, the recently expanded Poliforum Leon is one of the best exhibition facilities in Mexico. Additionally, Leon’s newly renovated airport is served by most major international and national airlines - bringing in an even larger audience from throughout the Americas!

Why the name change? After eleven years AFIA decided to concentrate their efforts on important animal health issues and their educational and legislative commitments. They continue to be a sponsor and supporter of this event. In light of the changes in ownership, venue and city, ITI concluded a name change for the next decade is appropriate and reflects the enlarged parameters of the event now known as AgroPecaurio Expo de las Americas (APEA). New sectors this year: aquaculture, dairy products and services.

Since the last exhibition was held in 2003, there is a pent up demand from Mexican and Latin American buyers eager to see the newest trends and developments in the industry. An upswing in the world economy also should translate into even more sales for APEA exhibitors. Exhibiting in AgroPecuario Expo de las Americas will ensure your company an audience ready to make significant purchases.
